While much in Denver has changed over the years, it is a testament to our dedication and quality of service to have remained in business for 25 years strong in such a challenging industry.

Originally founded in 1998, the Colfax Guitar Shop has served the community in every aspect of guitar service imaginable. From basic restrings to the most complex structural repairs, vintage guitar restoration/ sales; we can handle it!

Purchased in 2010 by professional luthier Dave Dougherty, the shop continues to provide the highest levels of service and craftsmanship. Dave has expanded the shop with more luthiers and retail merchandise from strings, capos, cables, slides, etc. as well as a continued rotation of excellent used guitars for sale.
Along with a vast knowledge (and respect) for vintage guitars, don't be surprised to see some very unique and cool guitars for sale here on any given day.

We have recently remodeled the shop to begin building custom, handmade guitars entirely on location here in our shop as well.
