HOW IT WORKS
Bring It In
Stop by any time during business hours for a complimentary instrument evaluation — no appointment necessary. Every member of our team is a skilled luthier, so you'll speak directly with one of the professionals who'll be working on your guitar. We'll take the time to understand your goals, assess what's needed, and give you honest recommendations for the best possible outcome.
Pricing
Estimates are typically provided on the spot. For major restorations, we may need to check in your instrument for a more thorough evaluation before offering a detailed quote. We understand the financial realities musicians face, and we'll always work to find a solution that fits your budget.
Timeframe
All repairs are handled on a first-come, first-served basis. Standard repairs are usually completed within one week of check-in. During busier periods, turnaround times may extend to three to four weeks. Full restorations are assessed and quoted case by case — if timing matters, call ahead for current lead times.
Need It Fast?
Last-minute situations happen, especially before a gig. We offer expedited guitar repair service when our schedule allows. Depending on the current workload, rush jobs can often be completed within one to two days — sometimes the same day. Call ahead to confirm availability
Your Instrument, Your Specs
Every player is different, and your guitar setup should reflect that. During check-in, we'll ask the right questions to dial in your instrument exactly the way you like it — action, intonation, feel. The works.
Checking It In
Once we've gone over everything, we'll collect your info and check in your instrument. When the work is done, we'll reach out by phone and email to arrange payment and pickup.
Our Guarantee
All labor is backed by a 90-day guarantee from the date of completion. If your instrument doesn't meet your expectations, bring it back for follow-up adjustments — no questions asked.

Do You Offer Pickup and Delivery For Repairs?
In most cases, repairs are handled either through in-person drop-off or by shipping instruments directly to our shop. However, we do occasionally offer a shuttle service for an additional fee to better serve our mountain communities.
We understand that traveling along the I-70 corridor can be challenging, and as fellow mountain enthusiasts, we’re always happy to help when possible—and we never mind an excuse to get up into the mountains.
We’ve previously provided service to areas including Vail, Estes Park, Aspen, Grand Junction, Pueblo, and Telluride. This shuttle option is typically reserved for larger or bulk repair requests, such as group pickups, collections, or servicing entire communities.
Pricing may vary depending on the value of the instruments for insurance purposes. Final repair estimates are provided after instruments have been evaluated at our Denver facility.
To inquire about shuttle service, please email colfaxguitars@gmail.com with “Shuttle” in the subject line.
